From the oilfields of the Alaskan high arctic, to the sultry hostile
jungles of Sumatra, Indonesia, to the war torn desert oilfields of
Kuwait and tumultuous Thailand. West Texas oilfield engineer, Bubba
Cottonmill, is confronted with spear throwing jungle warriors, the
historic 1991 gulf war devastation; with hundreds of uncontrolled oil
well fires, murder, corruption and assassination.
About the Author
Tony May spent the early years of his working career as a
fabricator/welder travelling the world in the oil and gas drilling
industry working on offshore and onshore facilities, which resulted in
his first novel titled Rig Pigs. Returning to college in the
late 1970′s, Tony graduated with a degree in welding engineering and
once more entered the construction industry. Tony spent several years
working in Thailand which resulted in a tangled web of deceit and gave
birth to Tony’s second novel Codename Dredge. In 1991 Tony
returned to the petroleum construction industry and was hired as a steel
fabrication shop superintendent and assigned to the rebuild of a war
devastated Kuwait and the killing of 729 uncontrolled oil well fires
resulting in his latest novel, Smoke in the Wind.
